Our main aim is to promote and support women’s and junior golf within Cambridgeshire so that it is welcoming and inclusive.
We
- support affiliated clubs in meeting their aspirations for women’s and girls’ golf
- organise a range of individual, pairs, and team competitions – essentially there is a competition for everyone, irrespective of handicap
- deliver a range of inter-club competitions
- commit to developing and supporting low handicap players who can represent CHWGL in regional and national competitions
- provide junior girls who want to get into golf with a structured development programme and pathway
As a County Association, we are part of England Golf and the East Region. We represent England Golf within Cambridgeshire by:
- disseminating information about England Golf strategy, policies, and consultations
- providing advice about the handicapping system and the rules of golf and responding to queries
- participating in the organisation of regional competitions
- contributing to course rating assessments
