Junior County Match Days held at Wensum Valley Golf and Country Club
The JCMD's concluded at Wensum Valley Hotel Golf & Country Club yesterday with incredibly narrow losses to Beds & Essex.
All of the girls gave it their best shot, stepping up despite injuries, very tough matches and starting the week a team member down following a family bereavement.
We received many comments, not only on the girls impressive golf but also their impeccable sportsmanship, behaviour and the camaraderie they have as a team - we couldn’t be more proud of them!
Some individual highlights include
- Imogen Sandhurst winning 4 out of her 5 games
- Ellie Stubbings achieving two wins and 2 halves from her 4 games
- Maisie Brown making her debut in 2nd/3rd position for all 5 games and achieving a win against Bedfordshire.
- Maya Mahadeva leading as an excellent captain in her final junior year before heading to University in September!
- Elizabeth Wynne getting a win against Herts. out in 1st position
Well done to all the team and also special thanks to CJO Chloe Ryan, Mo Poole and Sarah Smith Performance Golf who give up loads of their time in helping the girls and guiding them through some tough times but most of all making the whole experience enjoyable
